Nosebleeds are a common joke surrounding Manga and Anime works of a character being sexually excited that a blood vessel bursts in their noses, usually sent flying back or reeling back in some pain or another.

I'm not gonna pull a cliche out of my ass and say I prefer to be called something else, but I'm a nerd on many things. I will only guess nerds did what they were told to because that's how they were raised, to take orders from someone else, and many people took advantage of that fact.

The bossing them around was more or less no different than their future careers behind a desk in a cubicle, taking orders from a superior, treated as an inferior.
