I've wanted for a long time to draw Natani with his winter coat. It's something I need to get some practice on before it actually appears in the comic. So here he is, trying to brush down the fur. During the wintertime, the chest poof becomes a full-fledged mane, and he gets extra fur along his shoulders, elbows, and knees. I also wanted to put extra fur around his ankles, but I couldn't make it look the way I wanted it to, so I left it the same.
The background was entirely experimental. I wanted to do something different, so I sorta modeled it off of Asian architecture. I used paper walls that show some light through, so you can see the bare branches. I wanted to give the impression that it was wintertime, without actually showing the snow or scenery. I know the floor seems a little too shiny, almost as though you'd slip if you tried walking on it. xD I did my best to tone it down reasonably, but I really wanted to have at least some reflection. I actually did redraw the reflected image, it's not just a copy flipped horizontally.
Anyway, hope you guys aren't too sick of seeing Natani all the time. I swear, I'm going to start drawing other characters besides Natani and Keith in the future.
